The course covers the study of the characteristic and classification of microorganisms. It enables the student identify infective agents that cause diseases in man and to apply the knowledge of disease processes in terms of personal and communal health. Characterization and classification of characteristic of bacteria, morphology, physiology, reproduction and metabolism of bacteria.

Infection, pathogenicity and virulence, exo and endotoxins.
